President
Ed Stolarski is President of Utica Equipment Finance, a provider of customized equipment lease and loan solutions to North American businesses. Ed spent his entire career in the financial services industry and has originated and structured billions of dollars in equipment finance transactions. Well known for his honesty, integrity, and perseverance, he ensures each client’s needs are efficiently and individually met. Before co-founding Utica Equipment Finance, Ed was a Co-founder and Executive Vice President of Nations Equipment Finance and held leadership roles with GE Capital, Tygris Corporate Finance and FirstLight Financial Corporation.

Benjamin H. Carapezzi

Managing Director of Sales
As Managing Director of Sales, Benjamin H. Carapezzi is responsible for sourcing and developing client and referral relationships throughout the United States. A top sales performer, Benjamin has built an extensive referral network and is known for his marketing and business development acumen. In the past five years, he has originated and structured debt and lease transactions including loans, capital leases, true leases, TRAC leases, sale/leasebacks, and other capital structures for privately held and sponsor-backed middle market companies. Before joining Utica Equipment Finance, he held sales positions at leading financial services organizations and earned a B.S. degree in Marketing from Roger Williams University.

With more than 30 years’ experience in a wide variety of finance roles of increasing responsibility, he brings deep skills in sourcing, negotiating, and closing leasing and leveraged finance transactions. Before joining Utica Equipment Finance, he held senior positions with TBD Capital, Veritas Financial Partners, and others. He started his financial career with Landmark Bank and earned his BA from California State University at Fullerton.

Before joining Utica Equipment Finance, he held senior sales positions with Capx Partners, Full Circle Capital and CapitalSource Finance LLC. He started his financial career at Bank of Boston and earned his BA from Harvard University.

Over her two-decade career in equipment finance, sales, and the automotive industry, she has earned a deep understanding of equipment lending procedures and guidelines. A motivated and ambitious professional, she has a proven track record of success, and is skilled in origination and execution of financing loan and lease transactions. Prior to joining Utica Equipment Finance, she held senior sales positions at Commercial Credit Group and Nations Equipment Finance, where she originated equipment lease and term loan investments in various industries and collateral types.

Michael McClendon

Managing Director of Sales
As Managing Director of Sales, Michael McClendon is responsible for sourcing and developing client and referral source relationships throughout the United States working from the Tulsa, Oklahoma office.  With over 30 years of corporate finance experience he has originated, structured, and syndicated a myriad of equipment finance, commercial real estate, and asset-backed securitization products.  Prior to joining Utica Equipment Finance, he held sales and management positions with NFS Leasing, Verizon Capital Corporation, First Fidelity Bank and Titan Capital Corporation.  He started his career with Fidelity Investments and holds an MBA from Southern Methodist University and a BBA from the University of Oklahoma.

Roger McGinnis

As Managing Director of Sales, Roger McGinnis is responsible for sourcing and developing client and referral source relationships throughout the United States, working from the Fort Worth, Texas office. A seasoned business development leader, he brings a multi-dimensional perspective and in-depth equipment finance knowledge. He has earned a solid reputation for territory expansion through expert account management and retention, new business development, and consummate relationship management with C-Level executives. Prior to joining Utica Equipment Finance, he held senior business development positions in equipment finance and in commercial finance at leading U.S. firms. He earned his B.S. in Corporate Communications & Marketing from California State University.

Matt Worman

Managing Director of Sales
As Managing Director of Sales, Matt Worman is responsible for the company’s sales efforts and overseeing business development activities throughout the United States. Dedicated to serving clients, Matt has an innate ability to understand a company’s specific needs and structure finance products to support clients’ growth efforts. He brings 15 years’ experience in the equipment leasing industry. Before joining UEF, he held senior sales positions with Nations Equipment Finance, NewStar Financial, and Radius Bank, and started his career at First National Corporation. He earned his BS in Business Communications from Kent State University where he graduated cum laude.

James A. Quirk

Director of Credit and Underwriting
As Director of Credit and Underwriting, James A. Quirk is responsible for evaluating and underwriting commercial lease and loan requests and managing a designated portfolio of client accounts. James has significant interaction with clients, referral sources and financing partners to address any credit or risk management issues for complex transactions. He brings over 25 years of credit experience, having held senior roles in equipment finance, commercial and industrial lending, commercial real estate, alternative finance, and consumer and residential lending. Prior to joining Utica Equipment Finance, Jim was Vice President of Credit at People’s Capital and Leasing where he led the credit, underwriting and Capital Markets sales functions for the organization. He earned his B.S. in Finance from Quinnipiac University.

Donald B. Schiffer

Associate of Credit and Underwriting
As Associate of Credit and Underwriting, Donald B. Schiffer is responsible for evaluating and underwriting commercial lease and loan requests. He interacts with clients, referral sources, and financing partners to address any credit or risk management issues for complex transactions during the underwriting process. He brings extensive experience in finance, tax, and accounting methods. Before joining Utica Equipment Finance, he was a senior tax consultant with Deloitte Tax LLP and earned his B.B in Accounting and Finance at Immaculata University.
